Rum’um

I’m fascinated by mythology and the ways we have of romanticising the mundane so giant sea creatures, pirates and old maps with ‘There be Dragons’ warnings are themes I’ll come back to over and over. This piece bubbled away in the back of my mind for a long time. I even tried to put it down on paper a few times but wasn’t happy with it and then one day I revisited it and for some reason it all fit together.
