‘The Tinkerer’ – Custom Hand-Painted Kidrobot Foomi Vinyl Toy
This piece was inspired by the goggles that came with it. I like to respond to the toy in front of me when decided what to paint. I am a big fan of industrial aesthetics so I was curious to see what a steampunk feeling theme would look like in my brand of bubblegum colours. Not something you see often!
This piece is painted with spray-paint and acrylic by hand. I sculpted the wrench myself to complete the tinkerer vibe.
I like using spray paint as a base on my toys because it gives them a slightly rougher painterly texture which adds some warmth and depth. Hopefully you can see in some of the photos.
This toy is not for playing with, each one is a unique piece of art for display purposes only.
